The Streaming Giant Selects Perfect Performer for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Third Season
The Secret Organization is set to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the true confrontation won’t take place until season 3, and a adored, popular member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed recently that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bon Clay. This character has the ability to morph into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve touched with their dominant hand. Escola, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that role re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag queen, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the source material and animated series.
The new cast member will work alongside multiple recently announced actors tasked with bringing the organization to life, featuring chief the main antagonist, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Though this character is a important part of the organization, the individual won’t appear until One Piece season 3. Considering the next season set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this marks a major departure in the timing of their first appearance, one that could suggest additional alterations to the story’s structure.
The actor’s combination of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the part. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, emphasizing the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded roles.
Netflix's live-action One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
