The House Oversight Committee has published a set of roughly 70 images from the estate of late found guilty sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third such disclosure from a cache of more than 95,000 photos the committee has acquired from Epstein's holdings. It contains pictures of quotes from the novel Lolita inscribed across a woman's body, and redacted photos of women's foreign passports.

This action occurs just hours before the 19 December deadline for the Justice Department to disclose every documents associated with its probe into Epstein.

"These latest photographs raise additional questions about precisely what the Justice Department has in its holdings," stated the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Photos Disclosed

Several of the photos released on recently feature Epstein in discussion with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky inside a private plane; Bill Gates seen beside a female whose features is redacted; Steve Bannon sitting at a workstation facing Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the most recent wealthy, influential individuals to be photographed in Epstein estate photos disclosed by the oversight panel - earlier disclosed pictures also depict US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, former US treasury secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Appearing in the images is does not constitute evidence of any misconduct, and several of the pictured figures have stated they were not involved in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a announcement released with the photo release, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate's representatives did not offer context or timings for the pictures.

"Photos were selected to provide the general populace with transparency into a representative sample of the photos obtained from the holdings, and to offer insights into Epstein's associates and his profoundly disturbing activities," the statement says.

The release also features several photos of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita inscribed in black ink across several locations of a woman's body, like her torso, feet, pelvis, and spine. Lolita recounts the tale of a young girl who was exploited by a adult literature professor.

An example of a passage from the novel scrawled across a woman's chest states, "Lolita: the tip of the tongue making a journey of three steps down the mouth to alight, at three, on the teeth".

There are also a collection of photographs of female travel documents and identification documents from nations worldwide, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the information on the documents, like identities and dates of birth, is censored but the committee stated in a press release that the passports are associated with "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were involved with".

An additional image features Epstein positioned at a workstation in close proximity flanked by three individuals whose identities have been censored - a first has her palm on Epstein's chest under his shirt, and another individual is leaning to look at a close-by computer. Epstein seems to be helping the third fasten a piece of jewelry.

An additional photograph disclosed is a capture of SMS messages from an unnamed sender who states they have been supplied "some girls" and are requesting "$1000 for each individual".

Photo Disclosure Arrives Ahead of DOJ Deadline

The panel has many thousands of photographs in its possession from the Epstein estate, which are "both disturbing and ordinary," its announcement on this week explained.

The Congressional committee first legally compelled the holdings of Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The photos and files the Epstein estate provided to the committee are separate from what is often called "the Epstein documents". Those files are documents within the justice department's control connected to its own probe into Epstein.

Pursuant to the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which the President made law recently, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to disclose its records. The full nature of what is found in the DOJ's records is unknown, and it's likely that a significant portion of the information will be significantly redacted, similar to Congressional releases
