JuJutsu Kaisen: Execution is not precisely an original movie. Rather, the newest cinematic release from the JuJutsu Kaisen fantasy saga acts as a recap of the show's sophomore season combined with the initial episodes of its upcoming season, which launches the Culling Games narrative from the source material. This makes Execution, which just got a fresh preview, the quickest way to view the beginning of the next season ahead of its January 2026 premiere. The film debuts in Japan on Nov. 7, and in the United States and Canada on December 5.

The Culling Games Storyline

"The Thunderclap sequence" from the second season is often hailed as one of the greatest sequences in animated series lore, notwithstanding the significant debate in 2023 when the installments originally aired. It was stated that the creators were enduring tight schedules to the extent, and the broadcast edition that aired at the time was unfinished and reportedly not what the animators first envisioned.

The second season of JuJutsu Kaisen propelled the series to become the award-winning series of 2024, and when the Thunderclap episodes were released back to back, it was the focus of attention for weeks in the animation fandom. Audiences had heard of the issues behind the scenes, which made them value what they witnessed even more. People eagerly awaited to see if the disc version, launched in mid-March, would add any additional scenes to the battle or to see if it was polished at all, and were overjoyed to see exactly that, alongside reshades, enhanced animation, and altered color palette.
