Football Analyst Chris Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

Arsenal's 10-game victorious run was ended by Sunderland before the international hiatus, however will the English top division frontrunners bounce back against local foes Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, against AI, readers and a range of guests.

For week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

The singer's latest record, the new release, is available on Friday.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid games down the years - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a player.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse his partner have two children, Madison and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday soccer team," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our side for several seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from injury but their attack is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be quite tight, though. Burnley are well organised and their only at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

The singer's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, the Hammers won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look strong again.

The Hammers' only away win this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - will it be West Ham extending their run under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

The guest's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the season began, but they have surprised a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their last four games.

A family member advised me to get Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.

They have not had great success on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. Brentford will attempt to attack on the break but I feel the home manager's team carry much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

Olly's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality turns out to be rather tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six matches.

They have got lots of quality in their team but it still seems like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.

Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not witnessed any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice would be to back the visitors here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the close of October.

But I am not going to do that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good results because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.

Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the only side they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely eager for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's choice: I know Sunderland are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a bad streak... but Fulham have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough one to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
