Beloved Star Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Recognized For Appearances in Seinfeld and The Middle, Passes Away at the Age of Sixty.

US actor Pat Finn, who appeared in beloved programs such as Friends, "Seinfeld" and "The Middle", has died aged 60.

The comedy and improvisation performer died at home in Los Angeles on Monday after undergoing treatment for a cancer diagnosis from 2022 onward, as reported by reports.

"Pat Finn saw everyone as a friend - solely future friends he hadn't encountered," his loved ones shared in a statement.

They added that he had "lived his life fully - with zest and passion".

An Extensive Career on Screen

His debut TV appearance was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he played the brother of the main character.

He was also seen in a repeating character on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.

He appeared as the character Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in the late 90s, portraying a party host famous for delegating tedious tasks to his guests.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on a variety of popular shows, such as:

  • "King of Queens"
  • Friends
  • That '70s Show
  • "House"

His most famous role for his portrayal of the character Bill Norwood in The Middle, featuring across eight series between 2011 and 2018.

His film credits encompass It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.

Off-Screen Life

Outside of his acting parts, Finn was an improv performer and worked as a teacher at the Colorado university, where he was a faculty member.

He was involved with a six-person improv troupe named Beer Shark Mice.

"He taught, supported, and inspired numerous pupils throughout the years and it would be difficult to find a person anyplace who has an unkind word to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Offering condolences, fellow actor actor Richard Kind said there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, authentic human being you could encounter".

"Perpetually optimistic, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he shared publicly.

Finn is remembered by his partner Donna, his children, and his family.
